New to Webflow development? Looking for some ways to power up your projects?

Sit back, relax, pour a cup of coffee, and check out a few of the subscriptions our Webflow developers at Something Great can’t get enough of. We’ll cover the top web design tools in all kinds of categories, from design to copywriting, from development to accessibility. All in one quick 3 minute read.

These are the 5 subscriptions every Webflow developer should invest in this year.

Subscriptions for Webflow Developers

1. LandingFolio

We use LandingFolio for inspiration, for quick mockups, and to layout templates for our clients. For a one-time fee, LandingFolio gives you access to hundreds of pre-built sections that you can move to customize and improve upon when you begin working on your projects.

If one of our Webflow development clients isn’t sure exactly how they want their FAQ section to look, we’ll often provide them with a few examples from LandingFolio to get the creative juices flowing. It’s a great starting point that saves you a ton of time when you’re trying to get on the same page.

2. Userway

Our accessibility subscription of choice. Userway makes it incredibly easy to set up accessibility options. We work with many clients in industries where compliance is at the forefront, and Userway makes sure that our websites can be unpacked and discoverable no matter who is accessing them.

They offer agency-level pricing, or one-off pricing, depending on whether you're building a professional website for personal or business use, or multiple websites as an agency. Book a discovery phone call with their team to learn more, we’re glad we did.

3. Figma

Figma and Webflow are like peanut butter and jelly–good separate, great together. Figma is actually one of the reasons we began using Webflow–our designers love it.

A Figma subscription will allow you as a Webflow developer to streamline your design to development workflow. The software is extremely intuitive and collaborative, allowing you to create designs, wireframes, and prototypes that easily translate to Webflow. At our agency, our design team works hand in hand with our Webflow development team to make sure that exporting assets is smooth and straightforward.

Figma makes the handoff to Webflow really simple if you have great team in place.

By the way, if you're thinking about designing a new website, be sure to check our list of 10 Effective Web Design Principles.

4. ChatGPT

Whether you need ChatGPT to answer a question about a buggy interaction, or just to generate Lorem Ipsum text for a section of the website, ChatGPT lends a hand in tons of ways to new Webflow developers. Our agency even uses AI to generate ideas for social media captions. The use cases are endless.

Webflow as a platform has begun to roll out features so that you can have copy pre-written, which does mean that some of the ways ChatGPT has been able to help in the past are redundant. But we still find ourselves using the tool to help layout and organize information and tables, come up with ideas for logos, generate sample blogs posts, and even check for coding errors.

We’re still big fans of ChatGPT, think of it as your Webflow development assistant.

5. Shutterstock / Unsplash+ / Death To Stock

We love Death To Stock, but we also use Shutterstock from time to time. Their library is just so massive, and sometimes in niche industries or for hyper-local services, Shutterstock is still needed.

Whichever route you choose, it will save you a ton of headaches if you subscribe to some kind of photo service. Sometimes the right photo can make the difference between a stunning splash page or above the fold section and a dead air on a website presentation phone call.

Don’t let the latter happen on your watch.

If you made it this far, you're probably into tools. Be sure to check out the running list of tools we use at our brand & content studio.
